He teaches as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Houston Law Center, and he supports a number of civic, industry and charitable groups and serves as President of The Judge John R. Brown Scholarship Foundation.
The Honorable Lee H. Rosenthal

Judge Lee H. Rosenthal was appointed a United States District Court Judge for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division in 1992. Before then, she was a partner at Baker & Botts in Houston, Texas, where she tried civil cases and handled appeals in the state and federal courts. She received her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Chicago and served as law clerk to Chief Judge John R. Brown, United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Vera Jan Riley

Vera Jan Riley serves as Chairman of the Board and Secretary/Treasurer of The Judge John R. Brown Scholarship Foundation. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University and was an honors graduate of South Texas College of Law where she served as an editor on the Law Review. Her legal career has encompassed work in Texas and Southern California specializing in litigation management and discovery in complex commercial litigation cases and arbitration proceedings. She has also served as a volunteer for the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program handling health insurance disputes and divorce.
